Every two years all international scientists of sporadic CAA (non-hereditary) and HCHWA-D come together to review progress and get ideas for future research. This year’s conference will take place in Perth, from 3 to 5 November. This is in Australia because there are also families with HCHWA-D and research is being done into the disease. Sanne van Rijn and Maike Hoek will be present at the conference on behalf of the HCHWA-D association. They will be networking with the scientists and will make a summary of the status of the TRACK DCAA research and the insights they have noticed.
What is extra special is that during this conference the entire consortium is at one location and that never happened before. Together they plan an extra day to discuss the status of TRACK DCAA research and make plans for the future. In addition to that, on November 5th, Maike and Sanne, together with the Australian families will join a meeting for everyone involved with HCHWA-D and CAA. During this ‘public forum’ there will be an update from the people out of the USA, Australia and Netherlands working on TRACK research. Also, they will talk about what the current status is and how they think of possible trials for a potential medicine.
You are invited to join the public forum from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM Australian Time at the Banquet Hall of the University of Western Australia in Perth. We would love for you to be there and take part in the interaxctive session, but understand this is not possible for everyone. Therefore we will also record the session, so you can watch it at a later time..
Dot you have any questions that you would like us to address during this public forum? Please email Sanne van Rijn at svanrijn@hchwa-d.nl , she will make sure we will address them.
